Agriculture is critical to our district and one of the major lifelines in our country. I support elimination of duplicative processes and government red tape, which often serve as barriers to production for farmers. The Farm Bill is one of the most bipartisan opportunities in Congress to make updates, changes and improvements to our nation’s farm, food, trade and agriculture policies. Healthy, sustainable food production impacts everybody, from our rural to urban communities and the international community. 250,000 farm families in the United States produce 85% of our food — we must stand with them.
Congress must ensure that federal investments in the USDA’s important work are sustained so that a robust, comprehensive and unified Farm Bill moves forward to provide assistance and sustainability for Agricultural production and growth.
